Day 1 July 28th Friday
Travel 5am from East Midlands, no sleep - packing, cleaning; James picks up at 1am, airport at 2:15, very easy checkin, 2 hour wait for boarding, Andrew sits on own, 2.5 hours journey, no problem at airport (took time for cases to arrive, and not easy to find rep), 1 hour coach trip to hotel. Arrive 10:30, gained an hour. Room not ready, wait around for a bit, very hot, have some all inclusive 'snack' at 11am. Room ready at 12:00, room ok, kids beds not best. Everyone tired. Sunbathe by pool, Hannah/Alex swimming, Alex has hair done, Andrew gets sunburnt. Deb naps, Hannah uses wi-fi in reception, Alex does make own t-shirt. All inclusive 'snack'. Rest a bit. Dinner at 7pm, good, lots of choice, mousse is butterscotch. Walk to beach, nice, quite small. Walk round coast, Andrew keeps going finds 2nd beach, disappointing, walk back through town. Later we get an extra snack as dinner still open, early to bed, very tired.
Day 2 Saturday
Late up 10ish, Hannah and Alex go and reserve a couple of sunbeds. Only Andrew goes for breakfast, nice, good choice, the others go for a 'snack' later. The rest of the day is sunbathing by the pool, reading, Alex swims all day. Dinner is nice, mousse is blueberry. In the evening we do some wifi browsing then go into town and buy some floats for Alex.
Day 3 Sunday
Day by the little pool. Andrew gets up fairly early and gets towels by the little pool. We all get breakfast. Float has a puncture which we fix, but it goes down again after lunch. Hannah's swimming costume breaks, but we tie it up ok. Han and Deb get sunburnt. Alex gets very brown. Mousse today is lemon. Do some wifi after dinner. Andrew goes for walk in the evening, finds the historic fort.
Day 4 Monday
Little pool shut. Andrew puts towels on main pool sunbeds. See rep, book trips (caves and tour). Hannah has sunburn, covers up for day. Sunbathing, Deb and Alex in pool all day, Alex gets a bit sunburnt and tired. Deb also gets a bit of sunburn. Everybody in a good mood. Mousse is coffee. Wifi and early night.
Day 5 Tuesday
Late start, it's duller but still hit and very humid. Andrew and Han get 'snack' as missed breakfast, we all get lunch. Afternoon we go on coach trip to caves, catch coach in town, short stop in Porto Cristo, caves are very good although weird boat concert, trip back has weird stop at 'pearls' shop. Have dinner. Evening there are thunder storms and rain. Going to bed Andrew very sick, call doctor then 2 ambulances before being taken to hospital in Manicor, food poisoning.
Day 6 Wednesday
Andrew in hospital. Doctor comes early, need to stay for day, Deb goes back to hotel in Taxi. Very boring day, on drip, lots of reading. Food in suitcase. Hannah gets up early and reserves sunbeds, lots of sunbathing, souvenir shopping. Dinner then wifi, early night.
Day 7 Thursday
Andrew discharged from hospital, comes back in taxi. Hannah reserves sunbeds again, have lunch then sunbathing all afternoon. Go to pharmacy for Andrews tablets. In the evening Alex does a show of Moana songs. We go to the entertainment, do crap in the quiz, then do some late wifi. Later night.
Day 8 Friday
Another pool day. Hannah gets up early again to reserve sunbeds at the main pool. We all have a bit of sunburn. We go for breakfast, but Mummy stays in bed. Then sunbathing at the main pool with a lot of swimming and reading. We all get lunch then more sunbathing. Back at the room we have baths before dinner about 7pm, afterwards do a wifi session, then back to the room. Watch athletics, Mo Farrah last 10000m, wins.
Day 9 Saturday
Getting into a routine now with another pool day. Hannah gets up early again to reserve sunbeds at the main pool. We all have a bit of sunburn. We go for breakfast, but Mummy stays in bed. Then sunbathing at main pool with a lot of swimming and reading. We all get lunch then more sunbathing. Mummy and Hannah go back to room to freshen up before dinner, but Alex makes a friend so Andrew and Alex stay by pool a bit longer. Dinner at 7pm then walk to the town to buy some gifts (not much on offer). We walk to the other beach then back for a bit of wifi. Watch athletics, Bolt last 100m, looses.
Day 10 Sunday
Another day of sunbathing. Hannah gets up early to reserve sunbeds by the main pool. Andrew and Hannah go to breakfast. Sunbathing by the pool and swimming, Alex with her friend. We all have lunch then more sunbathing. Andrew does a jump into the sea even though in is quite rough. We then have our last dinner, then a bit of wifi and then back to the hotel to pack.
Day 11 Monday
Up earth 6:15, finish packing, checkout, coach leaves 7:15. Get McDonalds at airport, takes 39min, rush to gate. We all sit together. Flight is good, we arrive back early. James picks us up fine and we get back home ok.
